Qatar Condemns Iranian Attack on UAE Oil Tankers in Strait of Hormuz

The State of Qatar has strongly condemned an Iranian attack on two UAE oil tankers from ADNOC while they were passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the attack as a severe violation of international law and the freedom of maritime navigation, and a clear breach of UN Security Council resolution 2817.

The Ministry also called on Iran to reopen the strait without conditions, stressing that the continued closure undermines the critical interests of regional countries and the global economy.
