Qatar Credit Rating Maintained as LNG Exports Expected to Recover

Fitch Ratings has maintained Qatar's credit rating at 'AA' due to its strong economy and expects liquefied natural gas exports to reach pre-war levels by the second half of next year.

The agency removed Qatar from 'Rating Watch Negative' after assessing reduced risks to LNG facilities since March, when Iranian missile strikes damaged parts of the Ras Laffan industrial complex.

Fitch attributes the AA rating to Qatar's high GDP per capita, large sovereign assets, and expectation of additional gas production strengthening public finances.
