Qatar Slams Iranian Attack on ADNOC Oil Tankers in Strait of Hormuz
The State of Qatar has strongly condemned an Iranian attack on two oil tankers belonging to ADNOC that were passing through the Strait of Hormuz. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs described the incident as a 'severe violation of international law and the freedom of maritime navigation.'
The UAE oil tankers were targeted while crossing the vital waterway, which is considered a critical interest for the region's countries and the global economy. Qatar emphasized that the continued closure of the strait undermines these interests.
The Ministry stressed the importance of halting 'unjustified Iranian aggression on the assets of sisterly countries,' and expressed full solidarity with the UAE, supporting any measures taken to protect its assets.
