QatarEnergy Cancels LNG Shipments Amid Middle East Tensions
QatarEnergy has invoked 'force majeure' for the third time, canceling three shipments of liquefied natural gas (LNG) destined for the Adriatic LNG receiving terminal in Italy. This development comes amidst ongoing tensions in the region.
Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz revealed that his country is ready to strike Iran's energy targets but is being prevented from doing so by the United States, which fears triggering a global oil crisis if Iran retaliates against neighboring countries.
Katz stated that 'we would very much like to strike Iran's energy targets. At present the United States does not authorise this, for fear that Iran might attack neighbouring countries.'
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to brief US President Donald Trump on evidence of Iran's nuclear activities, including alleged attempts to revive its nuclear program.
