QatarEnergy-Controlled LNG Tanker Exits Strait of Hormuz After 3-Week Absence
A QatarEnergy-controlled liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker, Al Areesh, has exited the Strait of Hormuz after a nearly three-week absence, according to ship-tracking data from Kpler and LSEG.
The vessel loaded a cargo at Qatar's Ras Laffan terminal around July 4-6 and sailed out of the strait overnight on July 29, heading towards Port Qasim in Pakistan with an estimated arrival date of July 31.
This marks the first time since the Al Rekayyat was struck in early July that a QatarEnergy-controlled LNG tanker has exited the Strait of Hormuz.
