QatarEnergy Extends LNG Force Majeure in Italy

QatarEnergy has extended its force majeure event for an additional five LNG cargoes, affecting deliveries to Italy. The move extends the overall force majeure period from April to early November 2026.

The force majeure event now covers a total of 29 LNG cargoes, representing approximately 3.8 billion cubic meters of natural gas. This includes the previously announced extension in April and the latest addition of five more cargoes.

Edison, the Italian energy company, has confirmed its ability to source alternative gas for all customers and honor commercial commitments. As of August 28, Edison reports the replacement of 21 LNG cargoes at the Adriatic LNG terminal, representing a volume of approximately 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas.
