The industrial producer prices in Qatar rose 2.75% in May 2026 compared to April, driven primarily by higher prices in the mining and manufacturing sectors.

The general Producer Price Index for the industrial sector reached 123.01 points in May 2026, with the mining and quarrying sector accounting for 86.46% of the total index weight.

Rising crude petroleum and natural gas prices contributed to a 2.96% monthly increase in the mining and quarrying sector, while manufacturing also recorded a 2.71% rise driven by gains across several industrial groups, including basic metals (8.74%), chemicals and chemical products (5.66%), and cement and other non-metallic mineral products (1.22%).

The strong annual growth in Qatar's hydrocarbon and manufacturing industries continues to underpin overall industrial price growth, with the mining and quarrying index climbing 11.27% on a year-on-year basis.
