Qatari LNG Tanker Nears Rare Exit from Strait of Hormuz
A Qatari liquefied natural gas tanker, Al Marrouna, is making a rare attempt to exit the Strait of Hormuz. The vessel was loaded in Qatar early last month and has been heading toward the strait since Monday.
According to ship-tracking data compiled by Bloomberg, the Al Marrouna is signaling Port Qasim in Pakistan as its next destination with a potential arrival on Thursday.
The move comes after an attack on another Qatari gas tanker over two months ago. It's unclear if the Al Marrouna will continue through the Hormuz Strait.
