Quetta Flour Prices Hit New High as Wheat Costs Bite

Flour prices in Quetta have increased for the second time this week. The price of a 20-kilogram bag has risen by Rs70, from Rs2,850 to Rs2,920.

The rise is attributed to higher wheat prices and difficulties in securing adequate supplies. Flour mill owners say they are struggling to procure wheat, which has increased their production costs.

With flour being a basic food item, the continued price increase has raised concerns among citizens. They worry that household expenses are already under pressure due to inflation, and repeated increases in flour prices make it difficult for ordinary families to manage their budgets.
