Renergen Secures Additional Take-Or-Pay Contract for South African Gas Project
Renergen Limited's subsidiary Tetra4 has signed a five-year take-or-pay LNG sales contract with a South African food processor. The deal covers approximately 10% of Phase 1 nameplate capacity, which is expected to produce around 2,500 GJ/day of LNG and 70 Mcf/day of liquid helium.
The contracted price for the LNG is greater than $16 per GJ on an all-in plant-gate basis. This new agreement brings the total take-or-pay contracts for Phase 1 LNG volumes to about 75%, enhancing visibility into future cash flows.
Based on disclosed price ranges, ASP Isotopes estimates that Renergen could generate over $27 million in annualized revenue after Phase 1 completion, with commercial production targeted for 3Q 2026 and initial revenue recognition expected in 2H 2026.
