Renergen Secures Major LNG Contract in South Africa

Tetra 4, a South African subsidiary of Renergen, has secured a five-year take-or-pay contract to supply liquified natural gas (LNG) at greater than $16/GJ. This is in addition to other contracts that have already been signed with domestic customers.

The contract supports the commercial operations of the Virginia Gas Project, which are expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2026. The project has a production capacity of approximately 2.5MMscf/day of LNG and 70 Mscf/day of liquid helium.

Renergen's Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Paul Mann, says 'The associated LNG produced from the Virginia Gas Project is welcomed by local industrial businesses to support their energy needs'.
