Rising Supply Risks Boost Corn and Soybeans, Weigh on Cotton
Corn futures rose to a new high on September 15, 2026, as supply risks drove prices up. December corn futures reached $5.35 3/4 per bushel, near the daily high.
The soybean market also saw gains, with November soybeans rising to $13.18 3/4 per bushel and hitting a 2.5-year high for the contract. Soybean meal led the way, with December soybean meal reaching $365.40 per ton, near its daily high.
However, not all markets were up: cotton futures fell to a four-week low after technical selling put pressure on prices. The U.S. stock market and dollar index also weighed on the market.
