According to figures from AAA and Oil Price Information Service, the average price has risen 1.9 cents over the past three days.
The national average price also increased for the fourth consecutive day, rising to $4.109 per gallon. This surge follows a previous three-day streak of decreases totaling 1.4 cents. Crude oil prices are nearing $90 per barrel due to ongoing uncertainty along the Strait of Hormuz and the conflict in the Middle East. Kandace Redd, senior public affairs specialist for the Automobile Club of Southern California, advises motorists to continue finding ways to conserve fuel dollars by keeping tires properly inflated, avoiding excessive idling, and combining errands.
