Riverside County Gas Prices Soar to New Highs Amid Ongoing War on Iran
The average price of gasoline in Riverside County has reached its highest point since June 4, with a rise of 2.4 cents to $5.822 per gallon for self-serve regular fuel.
This marks the 23rd consecutive day that prices have increased, with a total rise of 30.2 cents over this period.
The national average price has also seen a surge, rising by 5.3 cents to $4.277 per gallon, its highest amount at this time of year according to Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
The increase in gas prices is attributed to the joint U.S./Israel war on Iran, which began on February 28 and has led to higher oil prices and a drastic acceleration in price increases at the pump.
