Riyadh Digital District Launches to Attract Global Tech Firms
Saudi Arabia has launched its Riyadh Digital District to attract tech companies and skilled professionals. The district will focus on emerging technologies, including those that support the country's Vision 2030 economic diversification goals.
The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) announced the launch of the initiative on August 27. This move aims to strengthen Riyadh's position as a global centre for digital innovation and make technology a larger driver of non-oil economic growth.
According to the RCRC, the district will bring together technology talent and innovation activity in Riyadh, supporting the city's transformation into a vital driver of non-oil GDP growth. By fostering innovation and expanding technology activities, it accelerates economic diversification and supports Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 goals.
