RSPO 2026 Report Reveals Significant Progress in Sustainable Palm Oil Production
The Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) has released its 2026 Impact Report, showcasing significant progress in sustainable palm oil production. The report reveals that 20% of global palm oil production now carries certification under RSPO standards.
Certified facilities have surpassed 7,500 globally and trademark licenses span 94 countries, making it easier for manufacturers to trace certified sustainable palm oil ingredients. Downstream compliance rates are also rising, with manufacturers showing a 61% compliance rate and retailers nearly 70%
The report highlights the positive impact of RSPO standards on environmental conservation. Over 551,000 hectares of High Conservation Value, High Carbon Stock, and vital peatland areas have been protected from land conversion. This area is nearly eight times the size of Singapore.
