Rupee Surges on Easing Oil Prices, RBI Intervention
The Indian rupee has gained strength for the fourth consecutive day, reaching 95.59 against the U.S. dollar on July 30.
This upward movement follows a previous close of 95.65 and comes at a time of mixed signals from global central banks.
The Reserve Bank of India continues to play a stabilizing role through its market operations, actively selling dollars since last week to prevent sharp fluctuations in the rupee's exchange rate.
The decline in energy costs has also offered relief to the Indian currency, with Brent crude oil retreating by approximately 1 percent to trade at $89 per barrel.
