Russia Acts to Prevent Grain Export Disruptions Amid Ukraine Conflict
Russia is taking measures to mitigate the consequences of Ukraine's attacks on grain exports, according to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
The exchange of attacks between Russia and Ukraine has closed export terminals and forced shippers to postpone or cancel shipments at the peak of the season, as reported by Reuters.
Russian President Vladimir Putin acknowledged last Sunday that Russia has problems with exporting agricultural products but promised to solve them.
Putin estimated that Russia will have about 60 million tons of grain to export in the current season and assured there will be no shortage on the world market.
