Russia Dominates Armenian Wheat Imports Amid Increased Production

Russia remains Armenia's primary supplier of wheat, corn, and wheat flour, according to recent data from the RA Customs Service. In 2025, Armenia imported 332.3 thousand tons of wheat and meslin, a 5.6% increase from the previous year.

The majority of these imports came from Russia, accounting for 99.6% of the total, with the remaining 0.3% coming from Kazakhstan and smaller volumes from the Czech Republic and Austria.

The customs value of imported wheat increased by 37.2% to $82.9 million in 2025, while exports of wheat saw a significant increase as well, rising 96% to 75.3 tons with a customs value of $253.5 thousand.
