Russia has escalated its attacks on Ukraine's ports, striking ships carrying military equipment and disrupting grain exports. The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that three ships were hit in the port of Nikolaev, while a fourth was struck near Odessa. A container terminal and warehouse storing drones and their components were also damaged at the Chernomorsk port.

Russian logistics company FESCO has suspended new deliveries via the Black Sea after a Ukrainian drone attack on one of its vessels. The 'Ioannina' ship, owned by Rosatom's subsidiary FESCO, sank in the Black Sea overnight on Friday.

The attacks have severely impacted Ukraine's grain exports, with Agriculture Minister Taras Vysotsky warning that only half of the projected volumes can be processed through alternative routes by the end of August. The minister stated that a significant part of Ukraine's production, over 30 million tons, will not be exported unless the problem is resolved.
