Russia has significantly increased its agricultural exports to Kazakhstan in the first half of this year. According to data from the Federal Center 'Agroexport', Russia supplied 4.6 million tons of agricultural products to Kazakhstan between January and June, a 40% increase compared to the same period last year.

The value of these exports rose by 24% to $2.1 billion, making Kazakhstan one of the largest buyers of Russian food in terms of shipment value. The country surpassed Belarus in this regard, climbing to third position.

The main drivers of revenue growth were wheat, sugar, chocolate products, sunflower oil, and bakery and flour products. Wheat exports alone brought in over $213 million, a 4.3-fold increase from the same period last year. Other notable increases include sugar by 14%, chocolate confectionery by 27%, and sunflower oil by almost one and a half times.
