Russia Imposes Nighttime Vessel Ban at Novorossiysk Port Amid Ukraine Drone Threats
Russia has introduced a temporary ban on vessel movements in and out of the port of Novorossiysk between midnight and 5 a.m. due to Ukrainian drone attacks, according to three grain industry sources.
The ban was reportedly verbal and no official document was sent to shippers. The port is functioning as usual outside these restricted hours, with grain shipments unaffected so far.
Novorossiysk is Russia's largest port by volume, handling up to one third of the country's grain exports. It also ships oil, metals, and goods in containers.
