Russia Invited to Develop Indonesia's 138 Oil and Gas Blocks
The Indonesian government has invited Russian investors to participate in the bidding process for 138 oil and gas exploration blocks. This move is part of efforts to strengthen bilateral energy cooperation between Indonesia and Russia.
The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources offered more than 100 oil and gas blocks to Russian investors, with further technical details provided by Minister Bahlil Lahadalia. President Prabowo Subianto's visit to Vladivostok for the Eastern Economic Forum played a significant role in this invitation.
Although Indonesia has large liquefied natural gas (LNG) reserves and does not directly need gas supplies from Russia, the government remains open to energy technology cooperation and joint infrastructure development with Russia. The President directly invited Russian energy companies to invest in and develop the offered blocks.
