Russia-Linked LNG Tanker Boris Davydov Heads to Denmark for Maintenance
The Boris Davydov, an Arc7 LNG tanker owned by Dynagas, is headed to the Fayard shipyard in Denmark for maintenance. It will be the third such vessel to enter the yard this summer.
Since its last maintenance period ended in September 2023, the Boris Davydov has carried 50 cargoes of Russian LNG worth an estimated €1.9 billion. This includes a recent voyage where it delivered 73,410 tonnes of LNG from Russia's Yamal project to Dunkirk, France.
Campaigners are urging Denmark's Foreign Ministry to review Fayard's participation in a state-backed pavilion at the SMM maritime trade fair in Hamburg next week. They argue that servicing the Arc7 fleet undermines the purpose of EU restrictions on maintenance and other services for tankers transporting Russian LNG.
