Russia Redirects Grain Exports to Far East Amid Black Sea Disruptions
Russia is redirecting its grain exports towards the Far East amid logistical bottlenecks in the Black Sea due to damaged port infrastructure.
Agriculture Minister Oksana Lut stated that millions of tons are being redirected through the Baltic and Caspian Seas, as well as transit routes via Kazakhstan.
The Ministry is also negotiating with Beijing to enable the transit of Russian grain through Chinese territory to reach markets in Southeast Asia.
The Black Sea region accounts for over 70% of Russian grain exports, making current shipping disruptions particularly impactful during the peak harvest season.
