Russia Seeks to Minimize Impact of Ukrainian Strikes on Grain Exports

The Kremlin has announced measures to minimize the impact of Ukrainian strikes on Russia's grain exports.

Russia and Ukraine have been engaging in tit-for-tat attacks on ports and vessels, disrupting grain shipments and forcing delays or cancellations for dozens of cargoes during the peak export season.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that measures are being taken to ensure all grain intended for export is shipped on time and in full.

President Vladimir Putin acknowledged last week that Russia was experiencing problems with its agricultural exports but pledged there would be no shortages on global markets, estimating Russia would have about 60 million tons of grain for export in the current season.
