Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak announced that more than 60% of Russia's gas exports will be directed to China by 2030, highlighting a shift in energy exports towards Asia amid Western sanctions.

In an address at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Novak stated that Russia has increased gas deliveries to China by 25% this year alone and remains the leading supplier to the Chinese market. Liquefied natural gas exports have also seen a record increase.

According to Novak, over the past decade, LNG deliveries to China have increased more than 50-fold, with Russia becoming one of the top three suppliers in the market. Russian officials are calling for the development of pipelines, ports, energy infrastructure and cross-border logistics corridors to support this growth.
