Russia Suspends Gas Supplies to Armenia Amid Pipeline Maintenance

Natural gas supplies from Russia to Armenia will be suspended for 11 days due to planned maintenance and repair work on a major pipeline. The North Caucasus-Transcaucasia main gas pipeline, which carries Russian natural gas to Armenia, will be shut down from September 15 to 25.

The suspension is necessary for scheduled preventive and repair works on the pipeline on Russian territory. This will ensure the long-term reliability of gas supplies through the pipeline.

Gazprom's subsidiary in Armenia has assured that uninterrupted and reliable gas supplies to Armenian consumers will be provided without restrictions during this period. Additional volumes of natural gas supplied from Iran will fill the gap left by the temporary suspension.
