Russia Suspends Gas Supplies to Armenia for 10 Days
Russia's Gazprom Armenia has announced that it will suspend gas supplies to Armenia for 10 days due to scheduled maintenance and repair work on the 'North Caucasus, Transcaucasia' gas pipeline.
The suspension will be in effect from September 15 to 25, affecting gas transportation to Armenia via this route. However, consumers in Armenia are expected to continue receiving gas without disruptions.
Gazprom Armenia stated that during this period, the country's own gas reserves and additional volumes of Iranian gas will compensate for the shortage of Russian gas.
Armenia has been receiving natural gas from Iran as part of bilateral energy cooperation. Tehran has been supplying gas to Armenia for many years, ensuring a stable supply during times of maintenance or repair work on the pipeline.
