Russia Temporarily Cuts Gas Supply to Armenia for Pipeline Maintenance
Russia's state-owned gas company Gazprom Armenia has announced that it will temporarily suspend natural gas supplies to Armenia due to planned-preventive and repair work on a major pipeline.
The suspension, which will last from September 15-25, is necessary to carry out maintenance on the North Caucasus-Transcaucasia main gas pipeline in Russia. During this period, there will be no restrictions on the uninterrupted supply of gas to consumers in Armenia, according to Gazprom Armenia.
The company has assured that gas supply to the population and other consumers will be carried out at the expense of internal reserves and additional natural gas volumes from Iran.
