Russia's Farmers Face Crisis as Military Takes Priority on Fuel

The Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service reported on July 29 that Moscow has cut subsidized lending programs for farmers, who are struggling with rising costs and limited access to financing. This decision comes despite the Kremlin's expectations for a strong harvest.

Fuel shortages have become an even more immediate problem, with Ukraine's intelligence service estimating that Russia's domestic market is short by approximately 20% of required supplies. The deficit is attributed to damage sustained by nearly 10 of Russia's largest oil refineries.
