Russia's Grain Exports Halted Amid Drone Strikes

Shipping from Russia's shallow-water ports on the Black Sea has been restricted due to safety concerns since July 10. Drone strikes in the wider area have led to this decision, according to market sources told Reuters.

The restriction affects grain exports and has implications for global food prices. The average grain prices at various areas in Western Canada were reported as follows: Alberta - $283 per metric tonne, Saskatchewan - $284 per metric tonne, Manitoba - $282 per metric tonne, and the North - $279 per metric tonne.

These prices are provided by PDQ, which is owned by the Alberta Wheat Commission. Producers are advised to check with several grain companies for basis levels in their area.
