Russia's Ministry of Agriculture Weighs Support for Grain Export Struggling Regions
The Russian Ministry of Agriculture is considering measures to support regions struggling with grain exports. According to Oksana Lut, head of the department, preferential loans for these regions may be prolonged for the current field work season.
The ministry also plans to offer subsidies per ton sold and procurement interventions. The average volume of grain procurement interventions is expected to be 1-3 million tons.
Lut emphasized that prolonging benefits and offering a subsidy per ton sold are more effective measures than increasing the number of intervention regions.
