Russia's Odesa Strikes Slump Ukraine Grain Exports by Half

Ukraine's agricultural shipments are facing a significant disruption due to Russian attacks on its Black Sea ports. The country's exports could fall by more than half this season, according to estimates from Ukraine's Agriculture Ministry. Bloomberg Terminal reported that Ukraine may export about 29.6 million tons of agricultural products in the 2026-27 marketing year, down 54% from an earlier estimate of 64.4 million tons.

Wheat exports are particularly affected, with a predicted decline of 53% to 8.3 million tons from a previous forecast. The reduction in exports is expected to impact Ukraine's revenue from agricultural products, which accounts for a significant portion of the country's export earnings.
