Russia's Sunflower Oil Prices Soar Nearly 16 Percent Amid Agricultural Commodities Boom
Russian sunflower oil prices have surged by nearly 16% on the Russian National Commodity Exchange, according to data from the Eurasian Economic Commission. The price increase is part of a broader trend seen in June, with key agricultural commodities experiencing significant price hikes.
Sunflower oil and barley saw the most substantial price increases, with sunflower oil rising by 15.7% to $1,309.6 per tonne compared to June 2025 prices. Barley prices also rose, increasing by 11.9% over the year to $218.3 per tonne.
The prices of wheat and maize were less affected, with wheat rising by 3.6% to $237.7 per tonne and maize remaining relatively stable at $233.3 per tonne, a 0.6% increase from June 2025.
