Russia's Wheat Prices Plummet as Grains Suffer Across the Board
Russia's wheat prices have dropped sharply in June, falling nearly 15% year-over-year to RUB 12,440 per ton. According to data from Rosstat, this decline is part of a broader trend affecting other grain crops as well.
Corn prices plummeted by 17.3%, barley prices fell 17.1%, and rye prices dropped by 10.1%. However, oat prices declined the most, down 23.7% to RUB 10,136 per ton. Millet, on the other hand, saw a 14.1% increase in its average selling price to RUB 12,650 per ton.
Buckwheat experienced the most significant price surge, rising by 70.4% to RUB 19,430 per ton from June 2025's level of RUB 11,404 per ton. Pulses saw a 30.2% decline in their average selling price to RUB 15,675 per ton.
