Sagepoint Logistics Boosts Renewable Natural Gas Fleet with $60M Financing
Sagepoint Logistics has secured financing to expand its renewable natural gas (RNG) trucking fleet, funding the acquisition of 60 Class 8 heavy-duty trucks and supporting fueling infrastructure. The senior secured financing was provided by Power Sustainable Infrastructure Credit Manager L.P.
The investment supports Sagepoint's strategy of vertically integrating RNG production with freight transportation, extending its parent company Sagepoint Energy's operations beyond fuel production and dispensing into end-use logistics.
Unlike traditional trucking fleets that rely on diesel purchased through third-party suppliers, Sagepoint Logistics operates using RNG produced by Sagepoint Energy's own facilities. This integrated fuel supply chain is intended to reduce exposure to fuel price volatility.
