Sallyport Backs Pipeline Erosion Remediation Firm Submar Amid Infrastructure Boom
Sallyport, a private equity firm focused on operational growth, has invested in Submar, a Louisiana-based pipeline erosion remediation company. This marks Sallyport's third platform investment through its flagship fund, Sallyport Partners Fund, LP.
The deal is driven by the convergence of aging infrastructure, tightening pipeline regulations, and growing natural gas demand tied to LNG exports and power generation.
Sallyport Managing Partner Kyle Bethancourt cited these factors as key drivers behind the investment. He noted that natural gas consumption is climbing due to expanding LNG export capacity and utilities building out gas-fired power generation.
Submar, with its 40-year history of delivering erosion remediation solutions, brings a strong track record and blue-chip customer base to the partnership.
