Sam's Club Edges Out Costco in Summer Produce Showdown

When it comes to summer produce, two popular warehouse clubs are often compared for their prices and quality: Costco and Sam's Club. In a new comparison, AOL.com examines which store offers better deals on fresh fruits and vegetables.

The study focuses on strawberries, watermelon, raspberries, Campari tomatoes, sweet corn, and blueberries. One of the key findings is that Sam's Club has lower prices for most summer produce items compared to Costco.

For example, a two-pound container of Driscoll's or Naturipe brand strawberries costs $3.97 at Sam's Club, which is 28 cents less per pound than Costco's price. In contrast, the seedless watermelon at Sam's Club was praised by customers for its rich red color and juicy sweetness, with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5 stars.

While Costco offers two pounds of strawberries in a plastic container, some reviewers were unsatisfied with the product due to spoilage. Similarly, the seedless watermelon at Costco was not well-received by shoppers, who described it as slimy and tasteless.
