San Antonio Gas Prices Hit $3.99 Amid Ongoing Oil Disruptions

Gas prices in San Antonio have surged to $3.99 per gallon due to rising crude oil costs, which account for approximately 60% of what consumers pay at the pump.

The increase is attributed to the ongoing U.S.-Iran conflict over the Strait of Hormuz, a critical waterway for global oil shipments.

However, relief may be on the horizon as gas stations are required by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to switch to winter blend fuel after September 15. This cheaper-to-produce fuel will result in lower prices for consumers.

Average regular unleaded gasoline prices in San Antonio currently stand at $3.79 per gallon, compared to the Texas average of $3.81 and the U.S. average of $4.22 per gallon.
