San Antonio Gas Prices Surge Amid Global Oil Market Volatility

Gas prices in San Antonio have climbed another 13 cents over the past week, according to recent data from GasBuddy's weekly survey of 886 stations. The average price for a gallon of regular gasoline now stands at $3.67.

This increase marks a significant jump, with prices rising nearly 58 cents higher than just a month ago and $1.11 more than drivers were paying at this time last year. Notably, gas prices have also risen across several major Texas cities over the past week, including Austin, Corpus Christi, and Laredo.

The cheapest station in San Antonio was selling gas for $3.33 per gallon on Sunday, while the highest-priced station was at $5.44, a gap of $2.11 per gallon. Across Texas, prices ranged from as low as $2.99 to as high as $5.44 per gallon.

Nationally, the average price of gasoline increased 10.8 cents over the past week to $4.06 per gallon. Diesel prices have also continued to rise, with the national average climbing 17.8 cents to $5.26 per gallon.
