San Diego Gas Prices Hit Highest Level Since June Amid Ongoing Oil Price Spike

San Diego County saw its highest gas prices since June on Saturday, according to figures from AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline rose by 2.2 cents to $5.938.

This increase marks the 17th rise in the past 18 days, with the total hike amounting to 25.6 cents.

The current prices are also higher than those seen one week ago by 16.4 cents and a month ago by 20.2 cents.

One year ago, gas prices were $1.24 lower than today.

This escalation in prices is attributed to the joint U.S./Israel attack on Iran on February 28, which sent oil prices soaring.
