San Diego Gas Prices Hit Record High on Labor Day
The Labor Day weekend saw a record high in San Diego County gas prices. According to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service, the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline rose to $5.95.
This surpasses the previous Labor Day record set in 2023 at $5.38 per gallon. In fact, it's the highest gas price seen in San Diego County since June 5th.
The current average is also a whopping $1.24 more than it was this time last year. Furthermore, gas prices have increased by a staggering 26.9 cents over the past 19 out of 20 days, with an additional six-tenths of a cent added on Sunday alone.
