Sapphire Acquires EDGE LNG to Bolster Distributed Energy Capacity
Sapphire Gas Solutions has expanded its liquefied natural gas (LNG) capabilities by acquiring EDGE LNG, a Texas-based company that provides liquefaction and delivery services using modular equipment.
The acquisition adds approximately 200,000 gallons of daily LNG liquefaction capacity to Sapphire's operations. The company says the deal strengthens its vertically integrated model, connecting production directly to distribution and customers.
Sapphire CEO Sam Thigpen stated that demand for distributed energy is growing rapidly, particularly in markets where traditional infrastructure cannot keep pace.
