Sapphire Gas Solutions Acquires EDGE LNG Capacity Expansion
Sapphire Gas Solutions has expanded its distributed natural gas operations by acquiring EDGE LNG from entities tied to Blue Water Energy. The acquisition brings approximately 200,000 gallons per day of liquefied natural gas (LNG) liquefaction capability into Sapphire's operations.
EDGE LNG offers LNG liquefaction, delivery, and vaporization services through modular and mobile systems, supporting clients throughout the southern United States. Its skid-mounted modular plants are designed for quick deployment and flexible scaling to meet customer needs, even in areas where conventional natural gas infrastructure is scarce or absent.
Sapphire's CEO, Sam Thigpen, stated that this acquisition furthers the company's goal of becoming a fully integrated LNG provider by managing the entire supply chain from production to delivery. By acquiring EDGE LNG, Sapphire gains production facilities in two key regions linked directly with its current LNG distribution network.
