Sapphire Gas Solutions Expands LNG Capabilities Through EDGE Acquisition
Sapphire Gas Solutions has expanded its liquefied natural gas (LNG) capabilities through an acquisition of EDGE LNG. The purchase adds approximately 200,000 gallons per day of modular liquefaction capacity to Sapphire's operations.
EDGE LNG provides LNG liquefaction, delivery, and vaporization services using mobile equipment. Its skid-mounted modular plants can be quickly deployed in areas with limited or no traditional natural gas infrastructure.
Sapphire Gas Solutions CEO Sam Thigpen said the acquisition aligns with the company's strategy to provide a fully integrated LNG supply service to customers. The transaction follows Sapphire's recent partnership with private equity firm Antin Infrastructure Partners, but financial terms were not disclosed.
