Saudi Air Defenses Thwart Drone Attacks on Oil Facilities
Saudi Arabia's air defenses intercepted and destroyed several drones targeting oil facilities in the country's east on Tuesday, according to Defense Ministry spokesman Brig. Gen. Turki al-Maliki.
The attempted attacks took place over several hours, with al-Maliki stating that the 'terrorist attempts' were launched from Iraqi territory by Iran-backed militias.
Saudi Arabia has the right to defend itself and its vital infrastructure, and reserves the right to respond at an appropriate time and place, according to al-Maliki.
