Saudi Airstrikes Target Mocha Airport in Yemen Amid Houthi Gains

Saudi Arabia has launched airstrikes on Yemen's Mocha airport, which is now under Houthi control. According to Al-Masirah TV channel, two strikes targeted the airport on Friday. A local government official told AFP that six missiles were fired at the Mocha port, but did not specify their origin.

The Houthis have been making significant gains in recent days, seizing a key island and controlling land along the Yemeni side of the Bab al-Mandab Strait. This vital artery is used for Saudi oil exports. Hazem al-Assad from the Houthis' politburo said that 'there is no cause for international concern' over free navigation through the strait.
