Saudi Arabia Braces for Surprise Attack from Iran-Linked Militias
Saudi Arabia is facing a fresh security warning as tensions with the Houthis intensify. According to Al Arabiya, citing intelligence sources, Iranian-aligned Iraqi militias may target the kingdom within hours. Although neither the groups nor potential targets were identified, this warning comes after Saudi Arabia reported intercepting drones heading toward key oil facilities and Riyadh in July.
The incidents led to strikes on militia sites in Iraq linked to the attacks. This latest threat emerges as Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) faces an expanding confrontation with Iran-aligned armed groups across the region.
