Saudi Arabia's energy infrastructure is getting a boost as the Ministry of Energy and MODON (Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones) team up to develop a compressed natural gas (CNG) distribution station in Dammam.

The new facility will improve the availability, reliability, and efficiency of natural gas supplies to industrial facilities in the Eastern Region. Compressed natural gas will be transported by tanker from the new distribution station to selected industrial facilities in Dammam First Industrial City, Al-Ahsa First Industrial City, and surrounding areas.

The initiative aims to address industrial energy requirements by providing a flexible mechanism for delivering natural gas to facilities that may not have direct access to conventional pipeline infrastructure. The project also aligns with Saudi Arabia's broader efforts to enhance industrial infrastructure and improve access to reliable energy supplies.
